We are on the move!! It was an early start to the day as we said goodbye to Seminyak. We are starting the second part of our holiday, travelling around seeing other parts of Bali. Today we were heading to Lovina in the North East of Bali. We hired a driver to take us around the island, he was fantastic and gave us so much information while we were travelling.
Our first stop was a wander through the Ghost Hotel! Built by Tommy Suharto, son of the former Indonesian President. The project was abandoned when he was sent to prison. Because nothing happened to it in 30 days, the Balinese spirits moved in and will not leave, so it cannot be sold. Therefore it is known as the Ghost Hotel and the locals will not enter it! With our driver's permission we went for a look around. We were the only people walking through the place.

After this it was a visit to the water temple, Ulan Danu Bratan Temple. This is a major water temple located on the shores of Lake Bratan in the mountains near Bedugul. There is parkland surrounding it and some market stalls as well. It does cost to enter. There is also lots of lake activities to do e.g. pedal boats.

Next it was a drive down a very winding mountain road...with lots of interesting 'pass bys'. At the bottom of the mountain we arrived at Lovina Beach.
The resort we are staying at, Nugraha Seaview Resort, is simple and beautiful. We have ocean views from our room. It was an afternoon poolside and then another massage!! It's amazing when you get a few massages in a row, you can feel the benefit. In the evening we went into the local village and to the Spice Beach Club and had the most amazing night. This was a fantastic venue. So much fun!! Food was sensational. Highly recommend the seafood platter. We listened to some live music and wandered home [via the Courtesy Cart] exhausted after our great day but grateful for all our experiences.
